Startups In Business to Raise Money

Almost everyday I read about yet another company that has raise another round which catapults the company into the billion dollar plus valuation club. The problem I have with this is that it seems like most of these startups are in the business of raising money rather than focusing on a business model or refining it to become profitable.

Tesco Brings QR Codes to Market in Korea

After conducting in depth ethnographic research, Tesco realized that Koreans are one of the hardest working people in the World. Time is precious and after the work day is over, shopping is not something people want to do. Typically people would have to go to the store to purchase the groceries.

Triangular Notebook Design

Tan Mavitan created a new take on the traditional notebook. Instead of a rectangular approach, Tan created a triangular notebook that is easy to carry and expands to the a full size notebook when opened. The Triangle Notebook has a smaller size which makes it easier and more convenient to carry around. With an unconventional triangular shape, this innovative notebook opens up to a square for writing and features 144 ruled pages and a black fabric cover.

The Social TV Remote

Currently TV, the Internet, and commerce are disconnected and require multiple input devices to change the channel, comment socially about a TV show, and make a purchase. Things are changing rapidly especially with Facebook's move towards becoming the social TV guide. Syzergy, created a concept called GOAB which is a glimpse into the near future when you can find shows to watch, share content and purchase products all from one device while consuming TV.
