Mass customization has seen increasing adoption especially in Germany. Converse is launching a Facebook application branded as “Converse Made By” where consumers can create and sell their creations in Zazzle like fashion. Converse is iconic along the lines of brands such as Apple and Nike. Enabling mass customization of its products is a natural extension to its brand and is sure to catch on; especially on Facebook.
