Tomorrow’s Pitch the Angel’s competition includes two panels, a keynote speech about entrepreneurship, and pitches from 12 new companies that have been selected from among 100 applications. Each of the companies will have 90 seconds to pitch their company to a panel of judges which includes Tech Coast Angels members, venture capitalists and industry experts. The event kicks off at 3pm at UCLA Anderson School of Management. More information here.

The Tech Coast Angels 5th Annual Fast Pitch Competition will take place on February 24th at UCLA Anderson School of Management. CEOs of twelve early stage companies, selected from more than 100 applicants, will have 90 seconds to pitch their companies to a panel of judges. The winner will be invited to present at a Tech Coast Angels screening session and will be considered for funding.

CEOs who want to apply to be a Fast Pitch competitor should visit www.pitchtheangels.com now to submit an application. Applicants will be initially reviewed by Tech Coast Angels members starting in mid-January. More than twenty CEOs will be invited to participate in coaching sessions in February. Coaches will include Tech Coast Angels members and other experts. The coaches will select the best twelve companies to appear onstage on February 24th.

Plan to attend on February 24th beginning at 3 p.m. The keynote presentation will be given by Steve Streit, CEO of TCA-funded Green Dot, the leading provider of prepaid financial services in the United States and the owner and operator of the Green Dot Network, the largest cash reloading network in the United States. The program will also include a panel of CEOs discussing their funding war stories, a panel of angels and venture capitalists providing tips on how to get early stage funding, and the Fast Pitch competition itself. Dinner and refreshments will be served after the program at a networking event attended by investors, entrepreneurs and other industry experts.
